Hotels near the Colosseum in Rome

Written by: Artur Jakucewicz

Hotels Nähe Colosseum Rom

The Colosseum is the most famous site in Rome. It is located to the south of the central part of the Eternal City and is surrounded by charming narrow streets. Although this area is always busy with tourists, it can be an excellent place to stay thanks to its convenient location, with connections to Metro Line B and within walking distance of Piazza Venezia, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Roman Forum, and many other Roman sites.

There is a wide selection of hotels for different budgets, and the area is not the cheapest, but it is not the most expensive either. However, it is also packed with pricey tourist restaurants, so it’s worth walking 25–30 minutes to reach Trastevere for a more affordable lunch or dinner with excellent quality.
